Spanners is a studio album by British IDM music group The Black Dog, which then consisted of Ken Downie, Ed Handley, and Andy Turner. It was released via Warp Records in 1995.
Despite Spanners' success, tensions started to emerge in the Dog camp. In mid July 1995, it was announced that Ed Handley and Andy Turner would be leaving to start work on their own material.
In 2017, it ranked at number 42 on Pitchfork's "50 Best IDM Albums of All Time" list.
All tracks written by Ken Downie, Ed Handley, and Andy Turner.
In 1995, prior to the release of the album, The Black Dog recorded a John Peel session, including another version of "Psil-Cosyin". These recordings were released as the five-track Peel Session EP in 1999.
