Galicia (L51) is a Galicia-class landing platform dock of the Spanish Navy and is the seventh ship to bear this name. She is the lead ship in her class.
The vessel was built at the Empresa Nacional Bazán shipyards in Ferrol, as part of a NATO collaboration between the Dutch and Spanish Royal Navies. Construction began in 1996 and the vessel was delivered to the Spanish Navy (Armada Española) in 1998. She is the sister ship to SPS Castilla (L52).
