Kim So-ya (Hangul: 김소야; Hanja: 金小夜; born April 2, 1990) is a South Korean singer. She is also known by her stage name, Soya. She is a member of the mix duo group, Soya N'sun .
Soya unofficially debuted in 2008 by participating on the "The World That They Live In" drama soundtrack. The next year, she also participate with 3 songs for the drama "A Man's Story" soundtrack.
In the early of 2010, she became a member of the mixed duo group, Soya n Sun. The duo only released 1 digital singles in April before she officially debut as a solo singer in November with the digital single, "Maeilmaeil Saranghae".
Soya is known as singer Kim Jong-kook's niece. She has said before in interviews that her uncle was the one who inspired her to become a singer.
Initially, her uncle, Kim Jong-kook does not approve of her joining the entertainment scene due to the complicating nature in the business. However, he still gave his full support.
Prior to her official debut, she was featured in one of Kim Jong-kook's songs in the 6th Album: Eleventh Story, "You Know Everything". In return, Kim Jong-kook was also featured on her debut single, being Kim's first collaboration with other artist in 15 years.
