"Solomon Gundie" is a song by French singer Amanda Lear released in 1980 by Ariola Records.
"Solomon Gundie" was originally recorded by Jamaican ska singer Eric "Monty" Morris in the first half of the 1960s. Amanda Lear released her cover version only in a 7" single format in 1980, between her Diamonds for Breakfast and Incognito albums. The disc bears "Sintas" as the author of the song. The track appeared to be a minor hit in Germany, having reached Top 40, where it was performed in a number of television shows. In 2005 "Solomon Gundie" made a release on Paris by Night – Greatest Hits, a double CD hits collection, in an edited version.
