Snatched (originally titled Mother/Daughter) is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Jonathan Levine and written by Katie Dippold, Amy Schumer, and Kim Caramele. The film stars Schumer and Goldie Hawn along with Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Óscar Jaenada, and Wanda Sykes.
It is scheduled for a May 12, 2017 release in the United States by 20th Century Fox.
A mother and daughter become part of an unexpected adventure when a vacation goes wrong. Co-writer Katie Dippold said it was inspired by her own relationship with her mother.
On May 22, 2015, trade reports announced that Amy Schumer would be starring in an action-comedy film scripted by Katie Dippold, which would be rewritten by Schumer and her sister Kim Caramele.Paul Feig would produce through Feigco Entertainment along with Chernin Entertainment's Jessie Henderson.20th Century Fox would distribute the film worldwide. On August 18, 2015, Jonathan Levine was in talks to direct the film.
On February 8, 2016, it was reported that Goldie Hawn was in talks to play Schumer's mother in the film, in what would be her first film role since 2002's The Banger Sisters. In May 2016, Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Oscar Jaenada and Wanda Sykes were added to the cast. By May, the film had the working title Mother/Daughter.
