The Slovak 2.Liga (English:Slovak Second League) is currently the third tier of ice hockey in Slovakia. For the 2016-17 season, the 2. liga is divide into two different divisions. It lies below the Slovak Extraliga and the Slovak 1.Liga. The league is composed of 20 teams divided into two groups of 10 teams each, whose teams will be divided geographically (Western and Eastern), including one foreign team from Hungary - KMH Budapest, it plays in Eastern group.
