Aaquil Ibinshaman Brown (born December 29, 1991), better known by his stage name Slim Jxmmi is a recording artist, songwriter and record producer from Tupelo, Mississippi. He is one half of the Southern hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd with his brother Swae Lee.
Aaquil Ibinshaman Brown was born on June 7, 1993 in Inglewood, California. He grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he began making music with his brother Swae Lee and local rapper Lil Pantz as "Dem Outta St8 Boyz". In 2013, he and Swae signed to Mike Will Made-It's label EarDrummers Entertainment as Rae Sremmurd. They have since released two studio albums under EarDrummers, SremmLife and SremmLife 2.
On March 17, 2017, Slim Jxmmi announced that he was working on his debut solo album, Uncle Jxm.
