Skyguard Ltd (founded in 2000) is a UK based lone worker protection provider.

Skyguard’s service was originally intended for use by Police forces to protect domestic abuse victims, potential kidnap targets and those on witness protection schemes. Due to market evolution, it became clear that a similar level of protection was required to safeguard lone workers thus becoming Skyguard’s core market today.

In 2009, Skyguard developed its own Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to manage emergency calls on a daily basis, becoming the first of its kind to receive the lone worker monitoring service standard (BS 8484).

In 2010, Jan Murray purchased Skyguard Ltd encompassing it under the Send for Help Group, owned by Murray’s investment vehicle Nebula Associates Ltd.

In December 2016, Send For Help was announced as one of Britain’s fastest growing companies. The Fast Track 100 list, which is published annually in The Sunday Times, ranks Britain’s top 100 private companies with the fastest growing sales over their latest three years. The company ranks at no. 47 in the 2016 league table.

Skyguard provides personal safety alarms and software for mobile phones. Skyguard’s product portfolio, past and present includes:

Typical clients of Skyguard not only include the Police but also NHS Trusts, Housing Associations, Councils, blue-chip companies, and across the public and private sector wherever lone working is undertaken.

Skyguard has been recognised for its contribution to the lone worker protection industry through various awards. The company were winners of the Security and Fire Excellence Award, 2014 for the deployment of lone worker technology at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
