Sivan is a 1999 Tamil crime film directed by Velu Prabhakaran. The film features Napoleon and C. Arunpandian in lead roles. The film, produced by J. Paramasivam and Y. J. Sathish, had musical score by Adithyan and was released on 26 November 1999. The film is heavily inspired by the 1987 film RoboCop.
Alex (C. Arunpandian) and Sivagami (Raadhika Sarathkumar) are honest police officers who are charged to catch the terrorist Jupiter (Naga Kannan). While Murugan is a poor car mechanic living with his mother and beloved sister Meenakshi. Jupiter kills Alex and his family. Soon, Alex is resurrected as a cyborg by scientists. In the meantime, Meenakshi is killed by Murugan's brother Uday (Uday Prakash) and his mother died from heart attack. Alex begins by killing Jupiter's henchmen and partners one by one.
