Veltheim is a municipality in the district of Brugg in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.
Veltheim has an area, as of 2009[update], of 5.24 square kilometers (2.02 sq mi). Of this area, 2.49 square kilometers (0.96 sq mi) or 47.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.69 square kilometers (0.65 sq mi) or 32.3% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.81 square kilometers (0.31 sq mi) or 15.5% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.18 square kilometers (0.069 sq mi) or 3.4% is either rivers or lakes and 0.03 km2 (7.4 acres) or 0.6% is unproductive land.
Of the built up area, industrial buildings made up 2.3% of the total area while housing and buildings made up 6.5% and transportation infrastructure made up 4.2%. Power and water infrastructure as well as other special developed areas made up 1.9% of the area 30.9% of the total land area is heavily forested and 1.3% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 26.1% is used for growing crops and 18.3% is pastures, while 3.1% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is in rivers and streams.

Veltheim has a population (as of December 2015[update]) of 1,440 As of June 2009[update], 15.1% of the population are foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (1997–2007) the population has changed at a rate of 2.4%. Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (91.0%), with Italian being second most common ( 2.4%) and Serbo-Croatian being third ( 1.6%).
