Full Lineage: Leung Yee Tai > Dr. Leung Jan (Leung Tak Wing) > Chan Wah Shun > Ip Man 葉問 (Yip Gai-Man) > Chu Shong Tin 徐尚田 > William Lai
Having studied Wing Chun in his native Hong Kong (at the same school as noted martial artist Jim Fung) William Lai came to the U.K. not to teach but as an accountant. It wasn't until he was approached by colleagues that had heard of his martial arts training that he agreed to start training. Since then he has been sharing his 40 years of experience with a focus in preserving the martial art. With Kung Fu being his passion he has been able to continue training in the traditional way, through years of practice, not shortening the process or modifying it to suit market needs. His presence in England offers a rare look into the traditional way of learning a martial art as taught originally in China.
