Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (born 1976) is a Belgian choreographer, and the 2014 winner of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production.
Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui was born in Antwerp in 1976.
Cherkaoui started his career in 2000 with the C de la B dance collective. He has had collaborations with Akram Khan, Antony Gormley and the Chinese Shaolin monks.
In 2009, he won the KAIROS Prize. In 2011, he won the Prix Benois de la Danse. In 2011 and 2014, he won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production for Babel (Words) and Puz/zle.
