Siblingen is a municipality in the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland.
Siblingen has an area, as of 2006[update], of 9.3 km2 (3.6 sq mi). Of this area, 44.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 48.7% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 6.3% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.4%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes).
The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Gules a Pine Tree Vert trunked and eradicated proper.
Siblingen has a population (as of 2008[update]) of 743, of which 9.8% are foreign nationals. Of the foreign population, (as of 2008[update]), 52.9% are from Germany, 8.6% are from Italy, and 38.6% are from another country. Over the last 10 years the population has decreased at a rate of -2.9%. Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (97.5%), with Spanish being second most common ( 1.0%) and Portuguese being third ( 0.8%).
The age distribution of the population (as of 2008[update]) is children and teenagers (0–19 years old) make up 18.2% of the population, while adults (20–64 years old) make up 65.4% and seniors (over 64 years old) make up 16.4%.
In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 42.2% of the vote. The next two most popular parties were the SP (33.9%), and the FDP (23.9%) .
