Shubhangi Gokhale (born 2 June 1968) is a Marathi and Hindi television actress. She was wife of late Hindi/Marathi actor Mohan Gokhale who played the title role in on Doordarshan show Mr Jogi.
Shubhangi Gokhale was born in Khamgaon as Shubhangi Sangvi. Her father, was a judge who performed his duties honestly and her mother was a homemaker. Due to her father’s job, she constantly had to shift residences and lived in Jalna, Malkhapur, Buldhana and lot of other districts in Maharashtra. She was interested in reading books and participated in debates and other competitions at the school level. She took her first lessons in acting and natyashastra in her college was Sangvai College in Aurangabad.
Besides being an actor, she is a writer as well, and has written a number of short stories, articles etc. Her Most Memorable Roles were As Mishri Mausi in Lapataganj / As Shyamla in Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre.
Shubangi met Mohan Gokhale, through a common friend when she was performing in a play. They also performed together in Mister Yogi. She took a break of around 10 years, after her family life started with Mohan Gokhale. Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre was her comeback serial after Mohan’s death. They are blessed with a daughter.
