Shrimantudu (English: Millionaire) is a 1971 Telugu, drama film, produced by G. Radhakrishna Murthy, A. Ramachandra Rao under the Viswa Bharathi Productions banner and directed by K. Pratyagatma. Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jamuna in the lead roles and music composed by T. Chalapathi Rao.
Chalapathi (J.L.Narasimha Rao) and Sekharam (Gummadi) are good friends. Sekharam invests a lot of money in Chalapathi's business to help him and being an alcoholic, Chalapathi dies suddenly in an accident. Chalapathi's sister Kaasulamma (Suryakantham) and her husband Hanumanthu (Ramana Reddy) take advantage of his death and throw Sekharam into financial crisis along with their Manager Kishtappa (Raavi Kondala Rao). Due to which Sekharam loses everything and had to leave his home. They also are the legal caretakers of the property until Raja becomes a major, Chalapathi's son Raja (Akkineni Nageshwar Rao) becomes the legal heir of all the property. Kaasulamma forcefully drags Raja into clubs and he also gets involved in a bad company. Taking advantage of Raja's unconsciousness Kaasulamma starts controlling the property and earns lakhs of money. After many years, Sekharam and his daughter Radha (Jamuna) come back to their native village to meet Raja. Radha has always believed Raja to be her husband. But when she sees him in as an alcoholic she can't bear it and tries to bring him back to his senses. Raja also quits drinking and understands how his uncle aunt along with the manager are looting the poor workers of their factory. Rest of the story is how did Raja eradicate all this injustice happening to his workers and how did he teach a lesson to his uncle and aunt.
