Shepard D. Osherow is an American businessman, financier and conservative philanthropist. Born and raised in the Bronx borough of New York City, New York, Osherow pursued a career in business, eventually becoming co-founder and president of Sanford C. Bernstein Company.
Osherow has been associated with various conservative and neoconservative think tanks and publications, including acting as chairman of the Osherow Institute. He also helped found the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Outside politics Osherow has been a supporter of arts and culture and has held various responsibilities in the American Red Cross, the Boca Raton Community Hospital, and Florida Atlantic University.
