Shane Tutmarc (born September 25, 1981) is an American producer, songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist. No Depression magazine described Tutmarc's music as "a sound where all the rules of Alt-Country (or anything usually tagged "Americana") are ground down in a kaleidoscope of inventive, stylistic detours, with hints of surrealism."Wanda Jackson called Tutmarc "one of my new favorite voices in rock and roll!”Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes said, "Shane is someone I'm very proud to have played music with when we were both coming up in Seattle - he's got an amazing ear for melody and a restless spirit of invention.".

Tutmarc is the great-grandson of Paul Tutmarc, who has been credited as the inventor of the electric bass [1]. His grandfather, Bud Tutmarc, was a well-known Hawaiian steel guitar player. Shane was the leader of Seattle band Dolour from 1997 to 2007. He has played in several other bands, including United State of Electronica and Shane Tutmarc & The Traveling Mercies. In June 2009, Tutmarc released his first solo album, Shouting At A Silent Sky. In January 2010, he re-located to Nashville, TN. Several of his songs have been featured on television programs, including Anthony Bourdain's The Layover on the Travel Channel, 30 for 30 Bo Jackson ESPN documentary, and Amish Mafia on the Discovery Channel.

On December 16, 2012 KOMO-TV in Seattle, WA aired the documentary "Touch the Wall" about Olympic swimmer, Marin_Morrison. The film, produced by Eric_Johnson_(journalist) and Darrin Tegman, features a soundtrack by Tutmarc.
