Shady Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County, Florida, United States. The population was 7,798 at the 2000 census. It is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is home to an active pigeon racing group.

Shady Hills is located at 28°24′20″N 82°32′51″W / 28.40556°N 82.54750°W / 28.40556; -82.54750 (28.405633, -82.547369).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 27.4 square miles (71 km2), of which 26.2 square miles (68 km2) is land and 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2) (4.49%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7,798 people, 2,811 households, and 2,144 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 298.0 people per square mile (115.0/km²). There were 3,060 housing units at an average density of 116.9/sq mi (45.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.83% White, 0.56% African American, 0.62% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.62% from other races, and 1.18% from two or more races.
