The SexBomb Girls (also known as SexBomb Dancers and now SexBomb NewGen) is a popular all-female singing and dance group in the Philippines, named as "The Best Selling All-Female Group in the Philippines of All Time". From mere background dancers, they have evolved into multimedia stars, with successful careers in singing, acting, and dancing.
They are well known for their chant, "Get, get aww!" They were once mainstay dancers for Eat Bulaga!, the longest noontime variety show in the Philippines. The group are mainstay dancers in Happy Truck ng Bayan every Sunday on TV5; some members also appear in Banana Split (renamed as Banana Sundae) and ASAP (variety show) on ABS-CBN. They perform in night shows and concerts at The Library in Malate, Manila, Joketime in Pasay and Cavite, and at Zirkoh and Klownz in Quezon City every week, and also travel across the country almost every week to host festivals, special occasions, and requested town event guestings.
The SexBomb Dancers were originally composed of four female dancers upon their formation in November 1999 (Rochelle, Che-che, Debra, Janine) with the name "Chicken Sandwich Dancers" as the background dancers of Eat Bulaga! and an offshoot of the Danz Focus Dancers (house dancers of the said gameshow). The name "Sex Bomb" came from Tom Jone's hit song. Of the four, only Rochelle remained (thus landing her the role and title as the group leader) until the group expanded during their SexBomb dance searches in 2000-2001 and their first FHM appearances to an all-time high of 22. In 2002, the SexBomb Singers were formed, and were billed as "SexBomb Girls" in their shows and promotional materials, with their renowned first-published album Unang Putok in which the hit songs and crazes Spageti, Bakit Papa?, and Crush Kita emerged. The dancers did shows under their dance albums, Sexiest Hits Series. The SexBomb Singers and Dancers were then collectively referred to as The SexBomb Girls. The SexBomb Girls was managed by Joy Cancio, of Focus E Incorporated. Joy is veteran of the Vicor Dancers of the 1980s.
The entertainment group's fame continued to permeate with the said album publications, constant national television show guestings, outside live shows in political campaigns and comedy bars, and their longest drama series on Philippine television, Daisy Siete that ended in July 2010, extending to 26 seasons (a total of 7 years). Upon the group's dismissal from their house show Eat Bulaga in 2011, the SexBomb Girls welcomed a freelance television contract (appears in GMA, ABS-CBN, and TV5) while maintaining outside shows. In December 2013, the strains of the original members of the dance group went their separate ways into having their own families, solo artistries, continued educations, and entrepreneurships.
