Servius Cornelius Dolabella Petronianus

Servius Cornelius Dolabella Petronianus was a Roman senator at the end of the first century. He was the son of Gnaeus Cornelius Dolabella and Petronia, who had previously been married to Aulus Vitellius, the future emperor. Gnaeus Dolabella was put to death by Vitellius upon his accession in AD 69. Petronianus served as consul in AD 86, under the emperor Domitian. He is sometimes supposed to have been the father of Servius Cornelius Dolabella Metilianus Pompeius Marcellus, consul suffectus under Trajan in 113, since Marcellus' father was named Servius; but his filiation also indicates that his grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather were named Publius.
