Sergio Matusalem Goyri Pérez (born 14 November 1956) is a Mexican actor.
Goyri entered the world of acting in 1975 as a secondary actor in Mundos opuestos with Lucía Méndez. He has since become a successful actor, as well as a director, producer and singer. He acted in several film tapes including El throne del infierno, Arma secreta, Supervivencia and Retén. Goyri has five children, three from his first marriage and two from his second to Telly Filippini. He is a big fan of Mexican soccer team Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara. At the moment he is working in theaters in the play of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus (Los hombres son de Marte y las mujeres son de Venus) based on a bestseller written by American author, John Gray. He also had an previous career as a singer, releasing the albums La fiesta de mi pueblo, Hecho para ti and Sergio Goyri.
In his performances in soap operas stand villain/protagonist Ignacio Aguirre in Te sigo amando (I still love you) in 1996 starring Claudia Ramírez and Luis Jose Santander, and Victor Izaguirre in the 2003 novela Niña amada mia, along with actors Karyme Lozano, Ludwika Paleta and Eric del Castillo, which were exhibited in Brazil.
In the 2006 telenovela Duelo de Pasiones, Sergio plays a man tormented by his past who makes impossible the lives of his wife and daughter (played by Erika Buenfil and Ludwika Paleta). In 2009 telenovela Mi Pecado, Sergio played the main antagonist of the story, Gabino Roura Beltran, an ambitious, cruel man.
In 2010, Sergio was part of the cast chosen by the producer Nicandro Díaz González, for the telenovela Soy Tu Dueña, interpreting Rosendo, an ambitious foreman, faithful/cruel servant of ranch owner Valentina (played by character actress Lucero), which created major conflict in the plot. In 2011, Sergio played the co-protagonist role of Ricardo Valiterra in Dos Hogares.
In 2013, Sergio played the supporting role of Alvaro in Corazon Indomable, along with Ana Brenda Contreras, Daniel Arenas and many stars. In the 2015 telenovela Que te perdone Dios (remaking 1955 film/1960 telenovela Pecado mortal and 2000 telenovela Abrazame muy fuerte), Sergio returned to play as the main antagonist role as an ambitious, cruel man, Fausto López-Guerra.
