Semisimple Lie algebra

In mathematics, a Lie algebra is semisimple if it is a direct sum of simple Lie algebras, i.e., non-abelian Lie algebras ${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {g}}}$ whose only ideals are {0} and ${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {g}}}$ itself.
