Seattle Sounders FC 2 (nicknamed S2) are an American professional soccer team based in Seattle, Washington that competes in the United Soccer League, the third tier of the United States Soccer Pyramid, as the reserve team of Seattle Sounders FC. Seattle Sounders FC 2 is operated and managed by Seattle Sounders FC, while 20 percent of the club is fan-owned through the non-profit Sounders Community Trust.

The club was announced on October 14, 2014 at an event held at the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum and began play in 2015 at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. Sounders assistant coach Ezra Hendrickson was named the team's coach on November 13, 2014.

S2 played its inaugural match on March 21, 2015, winning 4-2 over the defending USL champion Sacramento Republic. Andy Craven notched the first goal in team history. Their second game yielded the teams first shutout, a home game against Whitecaps FC 2 that ended 4-0. Darwin Jones scored the team's first hat-trick during the game.

The team colors are inherited from the first team. The crest inherited the Sounders Rave Green color as well as the unique shape. The first team crest features 3 pieces representing the players, fans, and clubs. The S2 crest matches this shape by flattening the pieces together to represent the clubs dedication to players and fans with continued development and success of the Sounders.

S2 plays home matches at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA. The stadium has capacity for 4,500. The record for largest attendance at an S2 game was set on March 22, 2015, with an attendance of 2,951.
