School of Agricultural Sciences and Environment (Escola de Ciências Agrárias e Ambientais) is an agricultural research institute and one of five campuses of the University of Cape Verde. It is located in the village of São Jorge dos Órgãos in the southcentral part of the island of Santiago.
It was founded on March 27, 1980 as the National Technological Investigation Institute (INIT - Instituto Nacional de Investigação Tecnológica), it became INIDA in 1997.
It became part of the University of Cape Verde in 2007 and was the fifth and recent institution added. It was no longer known as INIDA (Instituto Nacionai de Investigação e Desenvolvimento Agrário) on October 9, 2008 under a decree and fully integrated into the University of Cape Verde.
