Sardis is located at 38°32′3″N 83°57′27″W / 38.53417°N 83.95750°W (38.534261, -83.957454). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2), all land.
The Mason Co. portion of Sardis is part of the Maysville micropolitan area.
