The first known, publicly available, records of Santa Ana Winds FC playing in an adult amateur league date to 2007. The club played the 2006-07 Raúl Briones Cup, and in the 2006-07 SoCal Premier Division, of the SoCal Premier League. Winds FC played in the SoCal Premier League until 2011, when they joined the National Premier Soccer League, for one season, before becoming a founding club of the United Premier Soccer League. Santa Ana Winds FC competed in both the short tournament Raúl Briones Cup and the seasonal SoCal Premier Division while a member of the SoCal Premier League.
