Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU) is located in Ogwa, Edo State, Nigeria. It was founded by The Apostolic Church Nigeria and named after Pastor Samuel Adegboyega. The university was founded in 2011 and was given a temporary accreditation by the National Universities Commission; in the spring of 2015, there were rumors that the university was listed for de-accreditation, though this was denied by the university's vice-chancellor. In August 2015, however, the Commission announced that the university had failed to meet the benchmarks set to achieve accreditation.
The inaugural class, consisting of 58 students, graduated in September 2015.
