The Salamansa goby (Gobius salamansa) is a species of gobies native to the Atlantic Ocean along the coast of Cape Verde where it occurs in tide pools to a depth of about 10 metres (33 ft) .
The species were discovered in 2013 and were named and described by Samuel P. Iglésias and Lou Frotté in 2015.
Only two known specimens were collected.
The species are founded in Baía de Salamansa north of the town in the north of the island of São Vicente, in which the species are named after. They are not dominant in nearby Canal de São Vicente.
