Sadguris Moedani II (Georgian: სადგურის მოედანი) station was built in the Soviet times along with the other stations of Tbilisi Metro. It was formerly, until 2011, known as Vagzlis Moedani (Georgian: ვაგზლის მოედანი). It is believed that the word "Vagzal" actually settled into the Russian language from the name of London Tube Vauxhall station and became widely used in Georgian language. The station is located below the Tbilisi railway station.
