Società Sportiva Lazio Women 2015 a r.l. is an Italian women's football team representing professional male football club S.S. Lazio S.p.A. female's section in Serie B.
A sister team, S.S. Lazio Calcio Femminile, from S.S. Lazio, participated in Serie C Lazio, the top division of Lazio Region. In the past S.S. Lazio C.F. and S.S. Lazio S.p.A. had some collaboration, but since 2015 the male professional football team runs their own women team, after S.S. Lazio C.F. withdrew from 2015–16 Serie B and gave the place to S.S. Lazio Women 2015.
Founded in 1969 as Olimpic Lazio, the following year it played the of Serie A. In 1975 it became a section of S.S. Lazio. With five national championships, it is as of 2011 the most successful Italian club pair with Torres CF.
Installed through the 1970s in the top four positions, Lazio seemed to emerge as a powerhouse in the last years or the decade, winning the Coppa Italia in 1978 and its two first national championships in and . The second half of the 1980s was also successful, with two further championships (, ) and cups, including a double in 1987.
Lazio declined throughout the 1990s and narrowly avoided relegation in , but rose back in the late 1990s to win its fifth national championship in plus two further Cups. Such resurgence was short-lived and Lazio faced its worst crisis yet between and , ending in Serie B (the league's third level) after two relegations in a row. However, by it was back in top flight.
In Lazio ended in mid table, while in the team avoided relegation by just one point.
In September 2015 a new team "S.S. Lazio Women 2015 a r.l." was incorporated as a società a responsabilità limitata and participated in Serie B. The team was owned by the professional male football club S.S. Lazio S.p.A. which originated from, but did not have any parent-subsidiary relation with the sports club S.S. Lazio. The original women team, S.S. Lazio Calcio Femminile, participated in Serie C instead.
