São Lourenço dos Órgãos is a concelho (municipality) of Cape Verde. It is situated in the central part of the island of Santiago. Its seat is the town João Teves. Its population was 7,350 at the 2010 census.

The municipality are bordered with São Miguel to the east, São Domingos to the south, Ribeira Grande de Santiago to the southwest and São Salvador do Mundo and Santa Catarina to the northwest.

Along with the bordering São Salvador do Mundo, they are the only two landlocked municipalities in the nation.

Its geography includes parts of Pico da Antónia, the island's mountain summit., the area belongs to Pico da Antónia Natural Park, that portion, the southern southwestern part are forested along with the higher parts of the north and east.

Agriculture is the dominant industry of the municipality.

The municipality consists of one freguesia (civil parish), São Lourenço dos Órgãos. The freguesia is subdivided into the following settlements, its population was as of the 2010 census:

It was created in 2005, when a parish of the older Municipality of Santa Cruz was separated to become the Municipality of São Lourenço dos Órgãos. Until 2008, it was run by the Installation Commission. Its first president was Victor Baessa, president of PAICV and ruled for eight years until MpD won the 2016 elections.

In 2017 electricity was added to its homes in the higher areas, particularly near Pico da Antónia. Also the town market is being rebuilt.

At the federal level, it belongs to the constituency of Santiago North.

Since the 2016 elections, the Movement for Democracy (Mpd) is the ruling party. From its first elections in 2008 to 2016, the PAICV is the ruling party of the municipality, the percentage was overwhelming with 60.4%, more than double than MpD with 25.6%, it is clightly less with the same in 2012 but less than double over, the MpD had 36.6%. Of the 13 seats, 8 were taken by PAICV in the assembly, at the chamber level, all five seats were taken by the PAICV.
