Ryan Cairns Stevenson (born 24 August 1984) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for as an attacking midfielder for Scottish League Two side Annan Athletic.
Stevenson began his career as a youth player at Chelsea. Having left the London club in 2002 and moved to the then Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone. Having been dropped from the starting eleven in 2006, Stevenson joined First Division club Ayr United, on loan initially before moving permanently in 2007. Following a successful time at Somerset Park with Ayr, Stevenson signed for Premier League side Hearts in 2010. A successful first spell at Hearts led to Stevenson securing a move to English Championship side Ipswich Town. However, having made only 11 appearances for the club, he returned to Hearts the following season. After a second successful spell at the Edinburgh side, Stevenson signed for fellow Scottish Premiership side Partick Thistle before rejoining Ayr United on loan for a fourth spell where he won promotion to the Scottish Championship via the play-offs. After winning promotion he joined Dumbarton, before joining Raith Rovers in January 2017. Stevenson sought a career outside of football in March 2017, and signed for Troon F.C. on a part-time, semi-professional basis, making only one appearance before announcing he was to emigrate to Australia. He pulled out of that move hours before his flight, and spent time out of football before joining Annan Athletic in June 2017.
