Russell Coleman is an American attorney who has been confirmed to serve as the next United States Attorney for the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Before assuming his current position, he practiced law at Frost Brown Todd and served as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Kentucky's 12th Judicial Circuit. Coleman served as legal counsel to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell from 2010 to 2015, advising McConnell on judicial, law enforcement, and transportation issues. Earlier in his career, he was a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
