Russell Burn is a Scottish musician and drummer, formerly known from the post punk band The Fire Engines, and WIN with Davy Henderson. He has his own solo projects known as Pie Finger, releasing the album A Dali Surprise in 1992 on Creation Records.
In 2010 he formed the band Spectorbullets with Swedish singer songwriter Gustaf Heden, and he and Heden composed the score for the 2010 film Mexicali. They released their debut album Spectorbullets to critical acclaim on Burn's own record company, Mayakovsky Produkts, that he set up with record boss and writer Innes Reekie.
Burn has also worked as a record producer, including production work on Henderson's band The Sexual Objects.
He is the brother of actor Tam Dean Burn and the two brothers starred in the film Brotherly Love. He lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
More recently, Russell has been involved with the band Opium Kitchen - based in Edinburgh, which also features Robert King (Scars), Colin Whitson (Gin Goblins) and William Baird (Sam Barber and the Outcasts).
He is currently working also on new material for both The Spector Bullets and Piefinger.
