Romania was represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 by singer Luminiţa Anghel and the percussion band Sistem with the song "Let Me Try". They were ranked third in the final, Romania's best ever result at Eurovision.
In the semi-final, held two days before the final, Romania was ranked first, with 235 points. At the final, it placed third with 158 points.
The spokesperson who revealed Romania's votes for other countries was singer and TVR host Berbi Barbera.
