Riverdale K-8 is a public school of the Germantown Municipal School District in Germantown, Tennessee in the United States, that teaches nine grades, from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The school currently has approximately 1,120 students enrolled, and is led by Principal Joseph Bond.
In 2016, GMSD broke ground on the "Riverdale Expansion Project", intended to do away with the 22 portables which served as the middle school campus, and instead, use a permanent building as the new housing for the 6-8th grades. Like the other elementary and middle schools of GMSD, Riverdale K-8 serves as a feeder school for Houston High School. As of September 2017, Riverdale concluded its expansion project on its middle school portions, with science labs, new classrooms and an outdoor amphitheater. Despite Hurricane Harvey's tropical depression that hit heavily on Tennessee, the school remains in full operation, with little to no damage.
