Richard E. Sherzan (born December 22, 1946) is an American politician in the state of Iowa.
Sherzan was born in Mobile, Alabama and was a teacher and housing mediator. A Democrat, he served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1979 to 1981 (63rd district). His brother Gary Sherzan also served in the Iowa House, from 1983 to 1993.
During early 2015, he was a candidate for the U.S. Senate seat in Arizona held by John McCain.
