Richard Bulkeley, 4th Viscount Bulkeley


Richard Bulkeley, 4th Viscount Bulkeley (19 September 1682 – 4 June 1724) was a Welsh politician and peer.

Bulkeley was the eldest son of Richard Bulkeley, 3rd Viscount Bulkeley and Mary, daughter of Sir Philip Egerton of Oulton, Cheshire. He succeeded as Viscount Bulkeley on his father's death in 1704.

After studying at Christ's College, Cambridge, he held local office as Constable of Beaumaris Castle (1702–16) before entering parliament, representing Anglesey, following his father's death in 1704. He lost his seat in 1715, but was re-elected in 1722 with the assistance of Watkin Williams-Wynn, serving until his death in 1724 in Bath. He served as Custos Rotulorum of Anglesey between 1706 and 1715.

He married Bridget, daughter of James Bertie, 1st Earl of Abingdon, in 1703 and they had eight children:
