Resurrection is the debut album by the band Halford released in 2000. It was recorded over thousands of hours of work from August 1998 to June 2000. The album marks the return of Rob Halford's heavy metal roots after several years of musical experimentation. In 2006, Resurrection was remastered and released with an expanded, reorganized track list on iTunes, and was later released on CD in 2009. The album features "The One You Love to Hate," a duet with Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson. "Silent Screams" is a re-recorded song that was originally demoed by Halford's previous band 2wo.
In September 2003, Resurrection was ranked number 54 on a list of "The Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums" by online magazine Metal-Rules.com. In 2005, Resurrection was ranked number 320 in Rock Hard magazine's book of The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time.
