Reseda High School, established in 1955, is located in the Reseda section of the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, United States.
The school is home to the Reseda High School Police Academy Magnet, the Reseda High School Science Magnet and the Reseda High School Law & Public Service Magnet. Reseda High School's program consists of four small learning communities (SLC), the 9th Grade Academy, 10th Grade Academy, Academy of Technology & Health Careers, and the Liberal Arts & Education Academy.
Reseda High was the first complete high school to be built after World War II. Reseda opened with complete academic and science buildings, gymnasium, track & field, Industrial shops, including an automotive repair facility. Reseda was the first High School to have a three-color system of navy, Columbia blue, and white. It is one of few high schools in the San Fernando Valley to have a complete auditorium.
Reseda High School programs include a Humanities Academy, Multilingual Teachers Academy, Academic Decathlon program, Navy Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, Chapter of Health Occupations Students of America, Science Bowl.
Reseda High School is one of the few schools in the San Fernando Valley to have a robotics team.
Reseda High School fields teams for boys & girls in football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis, golf, track & field, cross country, water polo, swimming & wrestling. The teams have won CIF Championships in sports including football, basketball, track & field, soccer, volleyball, cross country and tennis. The school has had several successful individual athletes.
Reseda has marching band, cheerleading and dance & drill teams.
