Rawat Udayabhanu Patta Singh Sisodia was the head of Jugawats an offshoot of Chunda and directly descended from Rawat Chunda Sisodia, the founder of the Chundawats. He also had the jagir of Kaliwa in 1555.

When his father died near Udaipur in a battle in 1555, he at age 3 was made the Ruler of Kaliwa. He was trusted enough by Udai Singh to be placed as the commander of Chittor in 1567 when he was merely 17.

Patta was aged 16 when he participated in the Siege of Chittorgarh, in the second siege of Chittor done by Bahadur Shah of Gujrat his uncle Rawat Naga was killed in action. At the young age of sixteen, he was made commander of Chittorgarh Fort. He defended the fort for four months, but he and the Rajputs were forced to come out after the death of their commander-in-chief, Jaimal. He did Saka (last fight of battle) and his mother gave him a saffron cloth before herself committing Saka.

The Akbarnama tells that when Akbar was marching towards the fort with his army after his military victory, an elephant of his army accidentally trampled a person. When a mahout brought him to Akbar, the man was later identified as Patta.

To honour Jaimal and Patta's chivalry in the Siege of Chittorgarh, Akbar erected two statues of Jaimal and Patta in his palace after he conquered Chittorgarh.

In the Indian historical fiction Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap, Rushiraj Pawar plays the role of Patta.
