Rastriya Janamukti Party (National Emancipation Party) is a political party in Nepal. The party was formed in 1990 by the Janjati leader, M. S. Thapa Magar and Gore Bahadur Khapangi as the Nepal Rastriya Janamukti Morcha (Nepal National Janajati Liberation Front), following the Jana Andolan. The Front petitioned the constitutional committee, requesting a federal constitution.

on 6 May 1990 A.D.: Party was born in Kathmandu (Nepal) bearing a Name-Nepal Rastriya Janamukti Morcha.

1991 A.D.: Party participated in the general election for parliament with an electoral symbol – Man.

on 20 January 1992 A.D.: Party unified with a party named National Jan Party, having new name as Rastriya Janamukti Party and the new electoral symbol – House.

on 10–12 June 1996 A.D.: General Conventions of the Party, "First convention" was held in Kathmandu with election of Party President – M.S. (Malbar Singh) Thapa and General Secretary – Gore Bahadur Khapangi.

on 22–24 November 1999 A.D.:General Conventions of the Party, "Second convention" was held in Butwal, Rupandehi with election of Party President – M.S. (Malbar Singh) Thapa and General Secretary – Gore Bahadur Khapangi.

In the 1999 parliamentary election, Rastriya Janamukti Party fielded 130 candidates. They got 92567 votes (1% of the national vote), but no-one was elected.

on 3–5 March 2006 A.D.:General Conventions of the Party, "Third convention" was held in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur with election of Party President – M.S. (Malbar Singh) Thapa and General Secretary – Bayan Singh Rai.

In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election, the party won 2 seats through the Proportional Representation vote.

on 9–13 March 2011 A.D.:General Conventions of the Party, "Fourth convention" was held in Kawasoti, Nawalparasi with election of Party President – M.S. (Malbar Singh) Thapa and General Secretary – Keshav Suryavanshi.
