Rajeev Jha (Chandrashkekhar Madheshi alternately Rajiv Jha, Rajib Jha) (Nepali: राजीव झा; born Gangesh Jha on 30 September 1976) is a Nepalese politician and General Secretary of Nepal Sadbhavana Party. He fought for the right of the Madhesi people of the Terai-Madhesh region of Nepal, both as a civilian and as a militant.

In 2008, Rajeev Jha joined armed group JTMM and led the intellectual wing of the party. In 2009 he split with Jwal Singh and setup his own party Madhesh Rashtriya Jantantrik Party (MRJP).

Rajeev Jha was born in Dhuhabi-6, a village in Dhanusa District, some 15 kilometres east of Nepal’s zone Janakpur. Rajeev Jha spent much of his childhood and youth in Janakpur. He received Intermediate of Science (I.Sc) from R.R.Multiple Campus in Janakpur, and was once successful entrepreneurs having detergent and soap factory. Witnessing severe poverty and discrimination among Madhesi since his youth, Rajeev Jha was drawn to leftist political parties. In 2005 he was appointed as the president of Grass Root Nepal, an NGO working for the welfare of the Madhesi and Nepalese people in general. In 2005, he became the president of ‘Terai Sangrakchan Samiti(तराई संरक्षण समिति)’. During Madhesh Revolution in 2008 TSS played a vital role and helped injured people by providing for shelter, food and treatment expenses to the people injured in the revolution.

In August 2012, Jha announced a turn away from violence, and began peace discussions with the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction (Nepal). On September-2012, Jha announced that his MRJP was uniting with the Sadbhavana Party. In a late 2012 interview, Jha stated he is fighting Election from home constituency of Dhanusha-2 (Dhanusa District) from a Sadbhavana Party. In 2012, he stated, “This does not mean I am giving up. We are changing our method, but will not rest till there is a Madhesh state.”
