The Rio Neuquen Formation is a geological formation in Neuquen, Argentina whose strata date back to the Late Cretaceous. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation.

Rio Neuquen remains previously referred to A. giganteus are now attributed to some indeterminate sauropod.
