Qamar House:
In 2015, a narrative re ownership, conception, design and construction of Qamar House according to Records of Rights at City Deputy Collector's (CDC) of Karachi, Pakistan where, Qamar House, is, was written. Evidence is with CDC, the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) established 2001, predecessor Karachi Development Authority (KDA) established '60s, successor of Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) established 1947 when Pakistan was created by partitioning of India by the British Empire, and where building plans were submitted for authorization, then.
That narrative has been altered, misstating facts.
Following is a more detailed narrative re the origins of Qamar House and its early history.
To verify the authenticity of this narrative, official records with local authorities for ownership (CDC), Karachi for record of rights and SBCA, Karachi for building construction regulations and compliance; exists with those agencies.
Design of Qamar House on record is with the SBCA, Karachi. Qamardin Mahomed Hashwani was the licensed Architect of Qamar House.
During pre-partition of India in 1947, Qamardin Mahomed Hashwani worked as apprentice with Mistry Bedhwar, British Architect, Karachi, where with innate design and entrepreneurial talent, he acquired flare for designing classical buildings.
After India's partition in 1947, Qamardin Mahomed Hashwani was eager to create a firm of Architects & Engineers & Builders, Qamardin & Co., when KMC, was the regulatory body then in Karachi. Authorities in Pakistan selectively, due to dearth of qualified professionals, awarded licenses to reputable individuals for design of buildings.
The mercantile activities of the earlier days of the partnership were under the purview of another partnership Qamar Impex, with partners: Qamardin Mahomed Hashwani, Qamardin Jaffer Valliani, Ahmedali Mahomed Hashwani and Tajdin Jaffer Valliani.
Qamardin and his partners worked hard to build, and to merchandise, their services, and goods.
Qamardin Hashwani's innate talent was recognised by the Governor of Sindh Mr. Ghulam Farooq in 1950 when Qamardin & Co. was selected for design and construction of PIDC House (Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation). The young vibrant partners were eager to contribute toward building Pakistan's industrial base.
After creation of Qamar House the partnership of Qamardin & Co. and Qamar Impex waned and waxed, but the partners' fostered enterprise in the aftermath of huge achievement of national acclaim, when the Qamars flourished.
Qamardin Mahomed Hashwani, in July 1957, gained appointment as HH Sir Sultan Aga Khan III's Honorary Architect for Pakistan and subsequently in continuation was reaffirmed later in July 1957, by the successor to the Ismaili Imamate, HH Shah Karim al Husseini Aga Khan IV.
