Pymatuning Township is a township in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, USA. The population was 3,281 at the 2010 census.
The Kidd's Mills Covered Bridge Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 18.1 square miles (46.8 km2), of which, 16.5 square miles (42.7 km2) of it is land and 1.6 square miles (4.1 km2) of it (8.69%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,782 people, 1,519 households, and 1,093 families residing in the township. The population density was 229.3 people per square mile (88.5/km2). There were 1,632 housing units at an average density of 98.9/sq mi (38.2/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 98.31% White, 0.63% African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.24% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.66% of the population.
There were 1,519 households, out of which 35.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 15.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% were non-families. 23.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 2.89.
