A gang of criminals terrorize the whole village Dukhia in rural Bengal, where gang rapes had become a festival. They don't even spare children or aged females. Police could not take any complaints or action against those powerful criminals because they are backed by a local political leader. Brave hearted youngman and teacher Barun Biswas raises the voice first against them and forms a team named 'Jagaran Mancha'. They start agitation to force the law to arrest the culprits. Consequently the accused persons murdered Barun while he was returning from school. Before death once he met with one Binod Bihari Dutta. Shocked Dutta come to Dukhia to know the truth behind Barun's death. Gradually he comes to know about the hooligans now released on bail and again terrorize the villagers. Binod tried to motivate villagers in the same way but finds everyone reluctant in fear. A new police officer, Special Branch, Animesh Dutta was posted at the village who tries to support Binod. But Binod felt frustrated and decided to take the law in his own hands. He started killing all the criminals one by one another. Animesh suspects him for those series of death but could not find any evidence against Binod. By the last murder in a open function, Animesh caught him red handed and the story moves 2 climax.
