Pristin (Hangul프리스틴; stylized as PRISTIN, formerly known as Pledis Girlz) is a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2016. Several members of the group appeared on the television show Produce 101 and, as the prize for becoming two of the top contestants, members Nayoung and Jieqiong have gone on to debut as part of the project girl group I.O.I. The group is composed of ten members: Nayoung, Minkyung, Kyungwon, Eunwoo, Yebin, Jieqiong, Yewon, Sungyeon, Siyeon and Kyla.

In 2010, Siyeon appeared in After School's "Bang!" music video, as well starring in several CF's and dramas as a child actress.

In 2013, some of the members performed alongside their labelmates Seventeen during their Like Seventeen concerts. Nayoung also made appearances in a number of music videos, including Kye Bum-zu's "Game Over", TROY's "Why Are We" and Hanhae's "Man of the Year". All of the members of Pledis Girlz appeared as backup dancers in Orange Caramel's music video for their 2014 single "My Copycat".

In 2015, Eunwoo, Yebin, and Jieqiong appeared in the Seventeen's music video for "Mansae". Prior to joining Pledis Entertainment, Eunwoo had been a contestant on the television shows Superstar K4 and The Voice Kids.

Nayoung, Minkyung, Kyungwon, Eunwoo, Yebin, Jieqiong, and Siyeon competed in the Mnet survival television program Produce 101, which aired from January 22 to April 1, 2016. While five of the members were eliminated, Nayoung and Jieqiong became part of the final lineup for the project girl group I.O.I, which made its debut on May 4 with the single "Dream Girls".
