Nadezhda Tereshchenko also known as Nadezhda Mouravieff-Apostol and Nadezhda Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine (Russian: Надéжда Терéщенко; Ukrainian: Надíя Терéщенко) was the daughter of Theodore Artemievich Tereshchenko and Nadezhda Vladimirovna Khlopoff from ancient and noble Khlopoff family.
On January 21, 1909 Nadezhda Tereshchenko married Vladimir Vladimirovich Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine There was no title of nobility, therefore not a "princess" she had no title as Miss Tereshchenko, and her husband Mouraview Apostol had no title of nobility (so the title of "Princess" is an error, and, as one can see, there is no "prince" crown above the coat of arms of this family - family sources). The wedding ceremony took place in a huge estate [[Chervonoe Ukraine ]]. The Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine family built in Cannes, California hills, a luxury villa "Springland". Nadezhda got this house as a wedding gift from her mother Nadezhda Vladimirovna Khlopoff (no nobility title). Between 1910 and 1914, her sons Vadim, Andrew Mouravieff-Apostol|Andrew]] and Alex were born. The Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich of Russia, brother of Nicholas II of Russia, lived in nearby Cannes and was the godfather of Andrew. Before the events of 1917, the family managed to take into England most of their fortune, and most importantly - beautiful emeralds and diamonds (the tereshchenko blue diamond), reputedly belonging to Marie Antoinette. Nadezhda sold her emeralds to her close friend, Margaret Greville, so that she presented them as a gift to the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. In April 1928, the family purchased Bursinel, in the Swiss canton of Vaud, a beautiful house and called it "Springland II". The Tereshchenko-Mouravieff-Apostol family had very close friends among high political personalities and art cirlces. Some of the family's close friends were President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Winston Churchill, prominent Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí etc.
