Primera Hora is a newspaper based in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and distributed daily throughout the island.
Primera Hora was founded in 1997 by Antonio L. Ferré, son of Puerto Rican governor and former El Nuevo Día owner Luis A. Ferré.
After a market analysis, the Ferré-Rangel family launched a new publication.
Primera Hora founding members are Carlos Nido, General Manager (currently Sales VP for El Nuevo Día) and Héctor Olave, Director. On March 1, 1999, Jorge Cabezas became its second Director and on February 1, 2006 Rubén Keoseyán assumed general direction of the newspaper. Currently, Linda Hernández is the associate director of the newspaper.
